Illinois had their first full scrimmage during fall camp on Monday and head coach Brett Bielema definitely liked what he saw.
Speaking after the scrimmage to 247Sports, Bielema said he is still looking to improve, even though he liked some things.
“To have only two opportunities to have a full-go scrimmage before the opener means we had to maximize out there. There were a lot of really good things out there and there are things we have to improve.”
Bielema also confirmed that there were no major injuries suffered during the scrimmage and like the compete level from all players.
