Hart transferred into the Illini for Bret Bielema’s first season with the program in 2021 but suffered a season-ending knee injury early in the season. During the 2022 campaign, Hart appeared in 12 games and produced 22 total tackles, 1.5 TFL and half a sack.
In his career, Hart has 81 total tackles, 11.5 TFL and 4.5 sacks to go with 2 forced fumbles. He’ll provide some veteran depth on the defensive unit looking to continue solid production with DC Ryan Walters leaving to take over the Purdue program in 2023.
