Chase Brown earns Rose Bowl award for huge performance in upset of Penn State
This past Saturday was a big day for Illinois and head coach Bret Bielema. Illinois took down No. 7 Penn State on the road with a 20-18 score in 9 overtimes. Bielema recorded his 100th overall win as a head coach.
It was a tough defensive game for both teams, but there was one player that stood out on the offensive side of the ball. Illinois running back Chase Brown had an outstanding game as he rushed for 223 yards and a touchdown on 33 carries.
Brown set a record for most rushing yards by an opposing player at Beaver Stadium as he earned the Rose Bowl Game B1G Player of the Week:

In his six games this season, Brown has rushed for 637 yards and 4 touchdowns on 93 carries. Brown also became a part of an exclusive list of Illini to record multiple 200-yard games in a single season.
