Chase Brown, running back for the Fighting Illini, has officially accepted his invitation to the Reese’s Senior Bowl. The bowl game hosts elite draft prospects from around the country to showcase their talent in front of coaches and scouts from the NFL.

Brown has had a great season so far and has recorded over 1,500 yards on the ground in 11 games. He’s averaging over 5.1 yards per carry, 143 yards per game and has 9 touchdowns on the year.

Brown has been contending for numerous awards this season including but not limited to: Doak Walker Award, Maxwell Award, Walter Camp Player of the Year, Associated Press Midseason All-American First Team, and several others. One of his most impressive accomplishments has been the consistency he’s been able to replicate each week. For 10 of the last 11 games, he’s been able to rush for over 100 yards per contest.

Brown has another year of eligibility but it is likely he will be selected in the 2023 NFL Draft and appears headed to the draft by accepting his Senior Bowl invite. He will play in the last regular season game against Northwestern this Saturday.
