Ex-Illini punter Steve Weatherford sends emphatic message to current Illinois players
This is one way to send a message to the current Illinois squad!
Steve Weatherford is a former punter for the Illini. He played for the team from 2002-05 before a lengthy NFL career. Weatherford was a first-team All-B1G player in 2004 and won a Super Bowl with the New York Giants.
It also looks like Weatherford has stayed in impeccable playing shape! He took time during a recent workout video to share a shoutout to Illinois Strength and Conditioning Coach Lou Hernandez, along with a message for the current Illini players.
“Let’s go, Lou! Tell the boys I said the game ain’t over! There’s still a lot of season to be played,” was Weatherford’s emphatic message to Hernandez and the team while sporting a “Body by Lou” hoodie.
Here’s Weatherford’s video, along with a typed out message:
Damn proud of you guys, but it’s no time to reflect, it’s time to PRESS!!!
