It might have taken a while to get it, but Malik Turner made quite the impression with his first NFL touchdown!

The former Illinois wide receiver is now in his second season with the Seattle Seahawks. After appearing in six games as a rookie during the 2018 season, Turner has carved out more time in 2019. He has appeared in 10 games and had nine catches for 153 yards entering Sunday’s action.

During a win against the Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle dialed up a beautiful trick play. It started as a toss sweep, but a backwards throw to QB Russell Wilson set up a flea-flicker.

From there, Wilson aired out a deep ball as Turner split the middle of the secondary downfield. Turner was able to haul in the over the shoulder throw for a nice score:

Turner finished his Illini career ninth on the school’s all-time receiving list with 1,804 yards to go along with 10 touchdowns. Hopefully, he continues playing well and sticks with the Seahawks for a while.
