Illinois wideout Desmond Dan Jr. has reportedly hit the transfer portal according to Jeremy Werner of 247Sports.

He started his career with New Mexico State in 2016. He would stay there until 2020, before he came to Illinois as a graduate transfer in April of the same year. He appeared in 28 games while at New Mexico State

. Dan had 631 yards receiving with 3 touchdowns for the Aggies. He has no recorded stats from his time with Illinois.

Werner posted about the news from his Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon.

Dan is now the third WR from Illinois to hit the transfer portal since December. Jafar Armstrong first hit the portal on Dec. 1, followed by Deuce Spann on Dec. 22. Spann officially transferred to Florida State on Jan. 1, and Armstrong hasn’t landed anywhere yet.

Dan will have one last season of eligibility left for whatever team he decides to play for next.
