Former Illinois OL placed on IR by Chicago Bears
After it was looking like former Illinois OL Doug Kramer was going to get his shot with the Chicago Bears, an injury occurred on Tuesday. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reported that the Bears’ rookie suffered an injury and has been placed on IR.
Kramer has a Lisfranc injury on 1 of his feet. This comes after he saw some action in the team’s 1st preseason game on Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs. The injury could keep Kramer out for long term.
The #Bears placed rookie OL Doug Kramer on injured reserve. Sounds like he suffered a Lisfranc injury. Last saw him on the field in the preseason game Saturday.

Lisfranc injuries usually require surgery, and can take up to a year to recover depending on how severe the injury is. This is some terrible news for the rookie, who was starting to enjoy playing for the team he grew up watching as a kid.
