Former Illinois and current LSU guard Adam Miller has decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal again. He spent just one season in Baton Rouge and will be the second time he’s hit the portal in two years.

The news was reported by Travis Branham of 247Sports on Tuesday.

Miller sustained an ACL injury in October and missed the entirety of the 2021-22 season. His decision to hit the portal comes after LSU underwent a coaching change, as Will Wade was fired following the NCAA’s Notice of Allegations.

LSU recently hired Matt McMahon away from Murray State to be the new leader of the basketball program.

During the 2020-21 season, Miller had a big role for the Fighting Illini in his lone year. He started in all 31 games and averaged 8.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game while averaging more than 25 minutes.

Illinois finished that season with a 24-7 record, finished second in the B1G regular season standings and won the B1G Tournament. The Illini went on to earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Miller will still have all four years of eligibility to use at his next destination because of the COVID-19 waiver from the NCAA and the ACL injury that cost him his sophomore campaign.
