Daniel Imatorbhebhe is taking advantage of the extra year of eligibility handed out in 2020, transferring out of Illinois for one more year to cap his college career.

On Tuesday, Kansas State introduced its transfer additions for 2021. Imatorbhebhe was among them, as was former Iowa defensive back Julius Brents:

The 2020 season was the only one Imatorbhebhe spent at Illinois. He finished his time with the Illini with three catches for 54 yards and a touchdown.

Prior to coming to Champaign, Imatorbhebhe recorded 25 catches for 394 yards and four touchdowns over parts of two seasons at USC. He did not play in 2018-19 as he battled injuries.

Imatorbhebhe has certainly had an interesting journey throughout college. A three-star recruit out of Georgia for the 2015 class, Imatorbhebhe originally signed with Florida. He would wind up at USC before spending 2020 with the Illini.

Now, Imatorbhebhe is at Kansas State for one more year after taking advantage of the NCAA’s blanket waiver for 2020.
