Illinois secondary coach Aaron Henry gave some praise to a DB that is really coming into his own on Thursday. Tyson Rooks is catching Henry’s eye according to Jeremy Werner of 247Sports.

Rooks was a former 3-star recruit out of Glynn Academy in Brunswick, Georgia per the 247Sports Composite. The Illinois DB actually was originally at WR when he committed to Bret Bielema. However, he has switched gears and is really impressing Henry.

This comes after Rooks has only had about 10 practices at corner. The Illinois secondary coach went on to say that while Rooks is 6-foot-3, he moves like someone that’s 5-foot-9 and is one of the fastest DBs on the team.
