Chase Brown can run.

While not a secret to those that follow Illinois football, it’s pretty well known now. In addition to the handful of plays Brown was seen carrying a host of Charlotte defenders for extra yards, at the end of the 3rd quarter against the 49ers he broke from scrimmage for an 80-yard romp to put the Illini up 24-14.

Entering the final quarter, Brown had 16 carries for 199 yards and 2 touchdowns. Entering the game, Brown had rushed for 122 yards on 26 carries over a three game span.

So far, that’s a pretty good day.
