Illinois has made one late addition to the 2021 recruiting class with an intriguing prospect via a preferred walk-on.

On Monday, tight end Marko Rajkovic out of Franklin, Wisconsin announced that he was joining the Illini on a PWO:

“First off, I’d like to thank God, my family, and my friends for supporting me and guiding me to where I am today,” wrote Rajkovic in a note on Twitter. “I would also like to thank the Franklin Football staff for believing in me as well as pushing me to become the tight end I have become.”

According to Rajkovic’s bio, he is listed at 6-foot-5 and 230 lbs. That would give him desirable size at the position at the next level. Illinois did not previously have a tight end listed on their 2021 recruiting class.

The tight end position is one that should be in good shape for the Illini in 2021 with Daniel Barker and Luke Ford anchoring the group heading into the season.
