The questions about when Ayo Dosunmu will return to Illinois’ lineup remain unanswered.

On Monday, Illinois head coach Brad Underwood asked for an update on the star, but it was met with a brief answer. Dosunmu is currently still listed as day-to-day and it’s unclear when the Illini’s leading scorer will return.

No. 4 Illinois is scheduled to play No. 2 Michigan on Tuesday, with tipoff at 7 p.m. ET and the game airing on ESPN.

Dosunmu has missed the last two games with a facial injury, but it has not hindered Illinois’ success on the floor. The Illini enjoyed an 86-70 victory over Nebraska in the home finale before scoring a 74-69 road victory over No. 23 Wisconsin.

Competition gets much tougher for Illinois, as they’ll play No. 2 Michigan and No. 7 Ohio State to close out the season, both games away from Champaign. The Fighting Illini are winners of 9 of their last 10 games.

Dosunmu is the leading scorer and assist man for Illinois this year, averaging 21 points and 5.3 assists per game. He’s also grabbing 6.3 rebounds and getting 1.1 steals per contest, as well.

Illinois is 18-6 on the year and 14-4 in the B1G, good enough for second in the B1G, behind Michigan.
