Illinois has been one of the top stories around the B1G in the last 24 hours after head coach Bret Bielema went in on his team during his Monday presser.

Bielema spoke about his offensive line and how he doesn’t think the team has a player that’s been recruited the last 3 years that’s doing much of anything.

That caused quite the stir on social media and on Tuesday, Fighting Illini center Doug Kramer responded to his coach’s comments. He didn’t seem to take it personally.

“I was like, ‘I don’t know why this is kind of receiving so much heat.’ I didn’t take it personally. That’s really all it was. It was just a little bit of noise on a Monday.”

It’s understandable that some emotions will be high in Illinois considering the team’s 2-5 start to the season.

That said, Kramer is brushing it off and again will be starting when Illinois takes on Penn State this Saturday at Noon ET.
