Illinois coach Brad Underwood gives injury update on Ayo Dosunmu ahead of Ohio State clash
Illinois guard Ayo Dosunmu has missed the Illini’s last three games due to a facial injury he suffered on Feb. 23.
However, Illinois coach Brad Underwood hopes to have his star player back in the lineup sooner rather than later.
Underwood described Dosunmu as “day-to-day.”
#illini Underwood: Ayo Dosunmu is "day to day."
Haven't seen Dosunmu yet today. When you go through protocols, there's a lot of steps. You can't rush those. You can't question those. You just move forward.

He also said Dosunmu has been going through individual workouts to try to get back into playing shape.

Underwood isn’t concerned that his team will have any trouble getting back into a rhythm with Dosunmu in the lineup.
#illini Underwood: "I don't know why we would have a hiccup [when Dosunmu] returns."
Said he's pretty excited about eventually getting one of the best players in college basketball back.
