Illinois dials up flea-flicker to perfection for TD vs. FAU
Illinois has found itself in a dogfight against FAU in Week 4. As the Illini try and regroup to get back to .500, the team found the end zone with a perfectly executed trick play.
After crossing midfield against the Owls, Illinois dialed up a reverse flea-flicker. The play initially started as a handoff around the edge before getting handed to a WR and then flipped back to QB Luke Altmyer.
In the process, Griffin Moore was able to leak out and get all the way behind the defense. Altmyer was able to find his man with the pass rush closing in with Moore rolling all the way for the 46-yard score.

The good news for Illinois is that Altmyer has led another TD drive to take a lead over the Owls with halftime approaching. The QB is responsible for both touchdowns and is 14-for-19 passing with 12 yards.
We’ll see how Illinois responds the rest of the way, but it’s good to see things start to click after a slow start.
