Randolph is a redshirt sophomore. He earned his first career sack and forced fumble earlier this season against Nebraska. He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 300 pounds.
He entered this game with 19 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and 2 sacks in his career. Of course, this is the first interception of his Illini career.
Illinois holds a 24-14 lead midway through the fourth quarter against Charlotte. The Illini have been led by running back Chase Brown, who has over 200 rushing yards in this game.
Illinois trailed 14-10 at the half but have dominated the second half. The Illini are trying to improve to 2-4 on the season.
