Illinois quarterback Brandon Peters has been the team’s starter since the beginning of the season.
However, after what appeared to be an upper body injury suffered in the second quarter, Illinois is announcing that Peters will not return for the second half against Minnesota:

Peters was hit on a seven-yard run by Minnesota’s Keonte Schad. Up to that point, the former Michigan Wolverine completed 5-of-10 passes while tossing an interception.
Redshirt freshman QB Matt Robinson replaced Peters and has completed 5-of-10 passes as well, without a turnover. Minnesota leads Illinois in the third quarter, 23-10.
The game can be watched on BTN.
