There have been some serious availability questions regarding two of Illinois’ biggest contributors heading into Tuesday night’s Top 25 showdown against Michigan State.

Center Kofi Cockburn’s status is still uncertain after missing Friday’s game against Maryland while in concussion protocol. Head coach Brad Underwood did not provide much detail regarding the status of his All-B1G star, who is averaging over 21 points and 11 rebounds per contest.

It does sound like Andre Curbelo will be in the lineup for the Fighting Illini, however. The guard has been battling the flu and was limited in Friday night’s game against Maryland. He missed Sunday’s practice but is expected to be available.

Curbelo is averaging 10.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game for Illinois. He played just 14 minutes in the team’s 81-65 loss to the Terrapins.

Illinois struggled without Cockburn and Curbelo limited. Having both available would serve as a huge boost as the Fighting Illini attempt to end a two-game skip with an upset victory over Michigan State.

Tip-off is set for Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET with the game airing on ESPN.
