Illinois is growing its 2025 recruiting class. The Illini’s newest commitment is a lineman from Wisconsin.

Griffin Rousseau announced on Monday via social media that he has verbally pledged to Bret Bielema’s program.

A standout of Stoughton (Wisconsin) High School, Rousseau is listed as measuring 6-7 and 305 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Rousseau is rated 3-stars, the No. 7 player in the state of Wisconsin, No. 49 offensive tackle and No. 619 prospect overall in the Class of 2025.

Illini coaches got Rousseau on campus for a September gameday and return for a Junior Day visit.

Rousseau has four scholarship offers at this stage of his recruitment. He committed to Illinois over Duke, Syracuse and North Dakota State.

With Rousseau on board, the Illini now have three verbal commitments in their 2025 recruiting class. Rousseau joins fellow January pledges 3-star QB Carson Boyd and 3-star IOL Michael McDonough.
