Illinois lands commitment from 2022 TE out of Florida

Illinois has added another prospect to its 2022 recruiting class. On Sunday, a tight end out of Florida announced his commitment to the Illini.
Palm Beach Gardens (Florida) product Naivyan Cargill has pledged to Bret Bielema’s program.

Cargill is a 3-star recruit on Rivals. He does not have a grade on 247Sports. Both sites show that Illinois is his only scholarship offer.
Cargill is commitment No. 3 for Illinois after signing 22 prospects in December’s Early Signing Period. The Illini also added 2 Power 5 transfers from the NCAA transfer portal.
Cargill’s Hudl highlight tape (below), lists that he played wide receiver, tight end, defensive end and outside linebacker.
