Illinois LB Khalan Tolson reveals decision for NFL Draft
One Illinois defender revealed he will not be coming back for 2022.
Khalan Tolson came to Illinois as a 3-star member of the 2018 recruiting class out of Florida. On Friday, Tolson revealed he will begin preparing for the 2022 NFL Draft and is not returning to Champaign next season:
“Dear Illini Nation, the past four years have been amazing here at the University of Illinois,” wrote Tolson in a note on Twitter. “Through my time here, I have made countless relationships and some great memories that I will never forget.
“I would like to thank Coach B and Coach Smith for giving me the opportunity to play here…After talking with my family, I would like to announce that I will be declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft.”

This year, Tolson posted 48 tackles, 2.5 TFL, and a sack. Over his 4-year career, Tolson accumulated 128 tackles, 10 TFL, and 2.5 sacks.
