Illinois LB posts incredible stat-line, becomes first CFB player this season to accomplish rare feat
Dele Harding is a linebacker at Illinois.
The Fighting Illini have shocked some teams in recent weeks (notably Wisconsin) and are actually on a three-game winning streak after defeating Rutgers Saturday afternoon 38-10. Harding was certainly part of the reason for the victory over the Scarlet Knights.

Take a look at this stat-line he put together, which puts him in a category matched by, well, nobody:
.@dele_harding is the only player in the nation this season with 10+ tackles, 1.0+ TFL, 1+ forced fumble, 1+ interception, and 1+ touchdown in a single game. #Illini pic.twitter.com/j499QZ5LHR

He is the only player this season to register at least 10 tackles, one tackle for loss, one forced fumble, one interception and a touchdown in the same game. Think about that. That’s incredibly productive.
He may not have had four sacks or two interceptions, but to do just about everything you can possibly do in every which way to help your team on the defensive side of the football is impressive.
Harding, a senior, will surely be missed next season. But first, he and the Fighting Illini are just one win away from becoming bowl eligible (currently at 5-4 overall).
Harding and Illinois still have business to take care of.
