Illinois opens as narrow favorite at home against Nebraska
Both Illinois and Nebraska enter Friday night’s Week 6 game searching for a win after they were both dominated on Saturday. Nebraska lost to No. 2 Michigan, 45-7 in Lincoln. The game was never close, as Nebraska didn’t score until late in the fourth quarter.
Like Nebraska, it was a tough day for Illinois, as the Fighting Illini lost to Purdue, 44-19. It was a close game at the half, as Purdue led only 16-13. However, the second half got away from the Boilermakers as they were outscored 28-6 in the final two quarters.
Both of these teams are 2-3 on the season, and 0-2 in B1G play. In a game like this, it is tough to say who will be favored. However, in large part because of home-field advantage, Illinois is favored by 4 points.
Circa Sports revealed their opening lines on Sunday, and it has the Fighting Illini as 4-point favorites with an over/under of 41.5 points. Fans can head to BetMGM to get in on the weekly action!
