Illinois is 1 of the biggest surprises in all of college football, as the Fighting Illini are currently 4-0 with 2 wins against Top 25 teams. One of the biggest reasons why Illinois has been so impressive has been the play of quarterback Luke Altmyer.

The junior has been terrific this year, throwing for 862 yards and 10 touchdowns. Maybe the biggest statistic for Altmyer is that he hasn’t thrown an interception, and he is the only quarterback with those kinds of numbers.

No other quarterback in college football has at least 10 touchdowns with 0 interceptions.

Illinois finds itself as a team that could make some noise in the B1G, and the Fighting Illini have the biggest opportunity of the weekend to put themselves truly on the map.

Up next in Week 5 is a road test against No. 9 Penn State in what is suddenly a huge game. If Altmyer is able to lead Illinois to Happy Valley and get a win, he may just start to get some recognition on a national level.

Kickoff is scheduled in Happy Valley for 7:30 p.m. ET, and the game will be aired on NBC.
