Illinois RB Mike Epstein out for the remainder of Wisconsin game

Illinois will be without running back Mike Epstein for the remainder of Saturday’s game against Wisconsin.
In the second half of Saturday’s game between the Illini and the Badgers, Illini Stats and Notes reported that Epstein would not return to the game due to injury. The severity of the injury is unknown.
Epstein had two carries for 14 yards before leaving.

This season, Epstein has totaled 411 yards and three touchdowns on 60 carries. He’s appeared in all seven games for the Illini this season.
Epstein struggled with an injury last season and missed the final seven games of the Illini’s season in 2017. In five games, he racked up 346 yards and three scores on 57 touches.
Hopefully this isn’t a long-term injury for the Illinois running back.
