Illinois narrowly missed out on a B1G regular season title one year ago, finishing second behind Michigan in the win percentage category. The Illini didn’t have to worry about the conference intervening this year, taking care of business on the final Sunday of the regular season.
Now, Illinois heads to Indianapolis for the B1G Tournament, an event it won a year ago. It will look to defend its crown after a few days off. The Fighting Illini won’t play until Friday, earning a double-bye with the top seed.
Illinois will play the winner of Michigan-Indiana in the quarterfinal round.
