Illinois target, 2023 OL out of New Jersey, sets commitment timeline
Illinois has plenty of work ahead to put together the 2023 recruiting class. One Illini target is now set for his decision with Illinois one of three finalists for his services.
The player is Zachary Aamland, an offensive tackle prospect out of Princeton, New Jersey. Listed at 6-foot-6 and 285 lbs., Aamland has Illinois, West Virginia and Pittsburgh as his final three.
Aamland also revealed on Sunday evening that his commitment announcement is set for Memorial Day:

Aamland has gone unrated by the composite rankings but is a 3-star prospect according to 247 Sports. He is also the No. 21 player out of New Jersey for the class of 2023.
As things currently stand, Illinois holds just 3 commitments for the class of 2023 with plenty of work to do over the summer and fall. An addition like Aamland would be a nice pickup heading into June for Bret Bielema and his staff.
