Illinois is gearing up for the season opener this Saturday, and the Illini will be rocking a revamped uniform combination for Week 0.

Wednesday evening, Illinois revealed the orange-blue-orange combination that has been seen in years past. Along with the combination is an updated version of the orange helmet.

The Block I is still seen on the side of the helmet. The new additions are a blue stripe outlined in white down the middle of the helmet. The “I” is also outlined in white with a white facemask replacing the blue one from the past.

The changes might be minimal but they provide a nice pop. Check it out:

The new-look Illini will open the season this Saturday at home against Nebraska. Kickoff is set for 1 pm EST on FOX.
