Illinois unveils uniform combination for non-conference road clash at Virginia
Illinois will look to bounce back from a Week 1 loss vs. UTSA when they travel to face Virginia on Sept. 11. Leading up to the matchup, Illinois unveiled its uniform combination for the non-conference road clash.
Illinois will go with a clean look featuring orange helmets, white jerseys, and white pants:

Illinois edged Nebraska 30-22 in Week 0 prior to the 37-30 defeat to the Group of Five’s UTSA. Virginia blanked William & Mary 43-0 in Week 1. The Cavaliers also posted a 5-5 record in the shortened 2020 season.
Illinois quarterback Artur Sitkowski has passed for 390 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions so far this season.
Illinois leads the all-time series 2-0 vs. Virginia, with the last meeting coming in the 1999 Micron PC Bowl. Illinois routed Virginia 63-21 in that contest. In the other matchup in 1990, Illinois defeated Virginia 31-21 in the Citrus Bowl.
Illinois-Virginia is slated for an 11 a.m. EST kickoff and will be televised on the ACC Network.
