Illinois’s path to victory against Purdue gets even tougher as they’re going to be without several players. One of the biggest ones is none other than senior quarterback Brandon Peters, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.

He will have to be out for 21 days so the earliest he can return is their November 21st game against Nebraska.

Peters was only 8/19 for 87 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions last week in their loss to Wisconsin. Starting at quarterback today for Illinois will be redshirt sophomore Matt Robinson according to 247Sports.

Illinois will also be without defensive back Christian Bobak, wide receiver Kerby Joseph, offensive lineman Brevyn Jones, linebacker Shammond Cooper, etc.

The game is at Noon ET and it’ll be televised by the Big Ten Network.
