Edwin Carter had one of the more impressive catches in the early college football season Saturday night, but the receiver won’t return to action for the rest of the evening.

Carter hung on to a touchdown pass before being knocked head over heels into the end zone. It was a nasty fall an it’ll keep him out for the remainder of Illinois’ game against Western Illinois.

Carter was having a nice evening for the Illini, having caught two passes for 34 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

He was the leading receiver for Illinois at the time of his departure.
