Jacob Grandison is leaving Illinois and is bound for the ACC.
On Saturday, Grandison revealed that he is transferring to Duke after 3 seasons inside the program at Champaign. He will join the Blue Devils and play for first-year head coach Jon Scheyer.

Grandison has been a key piece for Illinois for the past 2 seasons. He appeared in 30 games (23) starts during the 2021-22 campaign but missed the regular-season finale vs. Iowa and B1G Tournament loss to Indiana due to injury.
Grandison was able to come off the bench for Illinois during the NCAA Tournament, but he played just 13 total minutes without a bucket across 2 games. His absence had a notable impact on what Illinois could do on both ends of the court.
While the loss of Grandison is a blow, Illinois has been more than active in the transfer portal to replenish the roster. The arrival of Matthew Mayer from Baylor and Terrence Shannon Jr. from Texas Tech in particular have the Illini in a good spot entering the 2022-23 season.
