Jartavius Martin, former Illinois DB, records first career INT in NFL preseason
Jartavius Martin recorded his first NFL interception Monday afternoon, and it certainly was unique.
The former Illinois DB showed off some impressive concentration to haul in the pick, nearly dropping the ball a few times before he finally corralled it.
The ball just kind of fell into Martin’s hands when the receiver couldn’t haul it in. On top of all of that, Martin returned it past the 50 to set up a Commanders scoring drive.
What an interception by rookie CB Jartavius Martin!

Martin was selected with the 47th overall pick in the 2023 draft, joining first rounder Devon Witherspoon from a dangerous 2022 Illinois secondary.
The Commanders currently lead the Ravens 10-7.
