This is one of the more odd stories of the year, that’s for sure.

It was reported earlier on Sunday that former Illinois CB Vontae Davis — who is now a part of the Buffalo Bills — told a coach at halftime, “I’m done.” And then he walked out and did not return.

Again, this is very weird.

But of course, athletes have Twitter accounts. And some of them tweet things they wish they hadn’t from a long time ago.

People of course looked into Davis’ account — many years prior to now — and dug up some tweets about quitting, quitters and how people should never quit. It’s quite comical:

It’s understandable that an athlete talks about never quitting.

But in the end, everybody has to step away at some point.
