Illinois is coming off a 55-31 victory over Minnesota.
The Fighting Illini, at 4-5, probably haven’t thought higher of themselves at any other point this year. Sure, Illinois started the season at 2-0, but it defeated Kent State and Western Illinois.
Beating a Big Ten for by 24 points and rushing for 430 yards and 5 TD as a team is a different story. Up next is another Big Ten foe in Nebraska.
The Cornhuskers have certainly had their downs this year, but nearly beat Ohio State a week ago and had a 2-game winning streak going into the contest against the Buckeyes.
Nebraska’s offense is humming, but Illinois hasn’t looked better than it did all season against Minnesota.
Kickoff is set for noon on Saturday in Lincoln, Neb. with the game being televised on BTN.
Ahead of the matchup, Illinois released its uniform combo for the game:

If the Fighting Illini win, they’ll be back at .500 and will be just one win away from becoming bowl eligible.
