LOOK: Lovie Smith's beard takes over headlines and is better than yours
The 2019 Big Ten Media Days are being held on Thursday and Friday in Chicago and BTN is airing all the action.
On Thursday, seven teams were featured and one of those was Illinois. Who’s the head coach of the Fighting Illini? It’s Lovie Smith.
Take a look at him.
More importantly, take a look at his beard:

There are plenty of photos to look at that show Smith’s beard and what it has become. Go take a look yourself, but here’s one comparing his beard from a year ago to now:

Last year, it was something to be seen. This year, it’s something you can’t stop looking at.
For all the coach-speak that was had on Thursday, some may have missed a few talking points thanks to this beard. After all, his beard became pretty famous Thursday afternoon:
Is there a Twitter account for Lovie Smith's beard?

And yes, his beard is better than yours (and mine as well).
