Illinois has been dinged up by injuries, particularly at the quarterback situation.

Brandon Peters has been the starter all season long, but backup and highly-touted freshman Isaiah Williams has been battling an injury for much of the season. That created additional problems when Peters was knocked out of the loss to Minnesota with an injury of his own.

Matt Robinson came in and finished the game against the Gophers. For the week of preparation, the QB situation remained a big talking point with the status of the QBs still up in the air.

Saturday morning head coach Lovie Smith updated the situation and confirmed a starter. In an audio clip shared by Illinois Football, Smith said Robinson will start against Michigan. Peters will be out for the game, but he did indicate Williams is available for the contest.
