Marcus Domask, a transfer from Southern Illinois, has committed to play in the Big Ten.

Domask, a Waupun, Wisconsin native, drew transfer interest from BYU, Cincinnati, Clemson, Iowa State, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin and Xavier, but committed to Illinois and Brad Underwood.

Domask averaged 16.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists this past season, as he shot 34.8% from 3-point range, and 87.6% from the foul line. Domask was a four-year starter for the Salukis, and incredibly started all 106 games he played, while he was honored with All-Missouri Valley Conference honors 3 times.

For his career at SIU, he averaged 15.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists while he shot 35.9% from 3 and 84.3% from the free-throw line.

Domask is the first transfer addition for Illinois this offseason, and he is considered to be strong in areas where Illinois has struggled recently. He is a former Wisconsin Mr. Basketball who is not only a sharpshooter, but can be a playmaking guard, post up defenders and distribute the ball to teammates.

At SIU, he collected more than 1,600 career points, 500 rebounds and 300 assists with the Salukis.
