Report: Illinois freshman PG, former 4-star recruit via 2022 class, leaving basketball program
The Illinois men’s basketball team reportedly had a player leave the program on Friday. The news was reported on by Ryan Evan of 200Columns.
Skyy Clark joined the Fighting Illini as a 4-star PG from the 2022 class per the 247Sports Composite. Clark was the No. 6 PG and No. 9 prospect out of Florida in his class. The Montverde, Florida native is now no longer a part of the team based on Evan’s report.
Clark played in 13 games for the Fighting Illini this season. Clark averaged 7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. There is no indication about whether or not Clark intends to enter the transfer portal at this time.

Clark was originally committed to Kentucky, but decommitted in March of 2022. He was a highly recruited prospect with a total of 24 offers from all over the country.
Arizona State, Auburn, Indiana, and Kansas were some of the schools interested in him. Other B1G schools that offered Clark were Michigan, Rutgers, Ohio State, and Minnesota.
