The staff carousel continues to spin in Champaign.

Illinois has already seen Orlando Antigua and Chin Coleman take jobs on John Calipari’s staff at Kentucky, and now Stephen Gentry might be on his way out, as well. ESPN’s Jeff Borzello reported the news on Friday.

Gentry is expected to rejoin Mark Few’s staff at Gonzaga, where he was the director of operations for two seasons before coming to Illinois. He was also on Brad Underwood’s staff at Illinois for two seasons.

A position opened up on Gonzaga’s staff when assistant Tommy Lloyd was named the head coach at Arizona, replacing Sean Miller. Few will be adding a new staffer who is familiar with the program, which should help with on-court success and in recruiting.

Gentry was also a walk-on for the program from 2002-06.

Illinois has recently hired Chester Frazier and promoted Geoff Alexander to become new assistants on Underwood’s staff for the upcoming season.
