An injury will reportedly keep one of Illinois’ most experienced offensive linemen on the sideline for Friday night’s game against Maryland.

According to Joey Wagner of Illini Inquirer, starting center Doug Kramer is not dressed for the B1G matchup on Friday night. He departed last week’s game against Virginia in the fourth quarter.

Per Wagner, Blake Jeresaty is the most likely candidate to take over the duties at center for Friday night’s game at Maryland. He has been playing left guard primarily.

Kramer has started in 40 career games for the Fighting Illini and has been the best player on the line so far this season. He had a monster performance in the opener against Nebraska, helping Illinois register an important win.

Illinois is looking to snap a two-game losing streak, suffering defeats at the hands of UTSA and Virginia.
