Scoop and score: Illinois' takes halftime lead thanks to huge defensive play
Illinois gets a huge boost just before the half as QB Adrian Martinez for the Huskers fumbles the ball leading to a scoop and score for the Illini.

A 6-foot-5, 270-pound DE, Keith Randolph Jr. punched the ball out from Martinez and Calvin Hart Jr., a 6-foot-1, 201-pound, took the ball for a scoop score for 41 yards for a touchdown just before the half.
Illinois goes into halftime with a 16-9 lead over the Huskers. The turnover bug killed the Huskers last season as they ended up turning the ball over 5 times in a losing effort. The Illini went on to win 43-21 last season in Lincoln, NE.
The Illini get the ball to start the second half in Champaign.
