Illinois is adding to its support staff.

On Sunday, Taylor Reed announced that he will be joining the Illinois staff after spending the last two years at Auburn. He made the announcement with a post on Twitter, though he did not mention in what capacity he’ll be assisting the Fighting Illini.

The University of Illinois has also not commented yet, either. Reed had previously worked with head coach Bret Bielema at Arkansas. He was a graduate assistant with the Razorbacks and helped out on offense, primarily with quarterbacks.

Reed is a former FCS quarterback who played at Central Arkansas from 2013-15. He appeared in 22 career games, throwing for 1,798 yards and 14 touchdowns with just 2 interceptions while completing 68% of his passes. Reed also rushed for 462 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Bielema has continued to assemble his staff since being named the head coach at Illinois in December. The Fighting Illini were 2-6 last season.
