Whether the Kansas City Chiefs win or lose Super Bowl LVII, it’s a very special Sunday for Nick Allegretti. Christina, Nick’s wife, delivered healthy twin girls early Sunday morning back in Chicago.
Allegretti is in Phoenix for the Super Bowl, but the former Illinois standout was able to FaceTime his wife at 3:30 a.m. Chicago time, per Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.

Allegretti is in his fourth NFL season. The Chiefs selected him with the No. 216 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. In 2022, he has been a reserve lineman for much of the season, getting the start in 3 of Kansas City’s regular-season games.
Incredibly, Allegretti isn’t the only Chief with a Super Bowl baby. Kansas City WR Mecole Hardman, who is on injured reserve, shared early Sunday morning that his girlfriend’s water broke.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles face off at 6:30 p.m. ET. The game is airing on FOX.
