Illinois basketball picked up a strong 69-60 win over Ohio State Tuesday night behind an electric performance from junior power forward Coleman Hawkins.

Hawkins did everything for the Illini against the Buckeyes. He scored 11 points, nabbed 9 rebounds and 6 assists, also adding 3 blocks and a steal.

Illinois guard Terrence Shannon said postgame that when Hawkins plays like he did Tuesday night there’s not a team in the country that can take them down.

Shannon played pretty well himself. He totaled a team high 17 points, also adding 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

Illinois is 6-1 when Hawkins scores more than 10 points. The 14-6 Illini face off next against Wisconsin this Saturday.
