Tommy DeVito is making plays not only with his arm, but with his legs as well against Wisconsin. DeVito has three rushing touchdowns, and is the first Illinois QB to do so since A.J. Bush Jr. in 2018 per 247Sports’ Jeremy Werner.

DeVito only had four rushing TDs coming into the game vs. Wisconsin. He scored all of his rushing touchdowns against the Badgers from inside their five-yard line.

DeVito has yet to score from throwing the football yet, and has 157 yards passing. Speaking of rushing, Chase Brown has 100 yards rushing on 17 carries.

Illinois is playing very well in Bret Bielema’s return to Wisconsin as a head coach. The defense has gifted the offense three turnovers so far. Graham Mertz has made two of those happen as interceptions.

Illinois is leading Wisconsin 31-10 in the third quarter. Things could get out of hand unless the Badgers’ offense wakes up soon. Braelon Allen has been limited so far with 2 yards rushing.
