Tommy DeVito has been a key part of the Illinois offense this season. He was seen shaken up after a big hit against Iowa.

DeVito has 1,121 yards passing with 9 touchdowns through five games. He also has just 2 interceptions in that span.

It appeared that DeVito rolled his ankle, and was seen walking toward the Fighting Illini’s medical tent on the sidelines. The injury happened just before the end of the first quarter.

Chase Brown can’t do everything for the Illinois offense. Bret Bielema will be hoping that his starting quarterback can return to the game.

DeVito won the starting job from Artur Sitkowski after transferring into the program this offseason after spending the majority of his college career at Syracuse. Sitkowski replaced DeVito after the injury.

Sitkowski played in most of Illinois’ games last season before an injury against Penn State ended his year.

We’ll continue to roll out updates as more information becomes available.
