Illinois is adding a bit of running back depth in time for the Michigan game.

Prior to this season, running back Chase Brown transferred to Illinois after spending his freshman season with Western Michigan. On Saturday, Illinois Football announced that Brown has been granted his immediate eligibility after filing an appeal.

Brown rushed for 352 yards and appeared in 13 games for the Broncos as a freshman. Considering Illinois is missing Mike Epstein for the season, having Brown is a nice depth boost in time for a tough game.
